A New Day in Kona celebrates the return of the world’s greatest triathlon to Kona after a two years absence. The rainbow sun rising above the islands and the athletes in the clouds depicts the strength and resolve of both Kona and the many participants who have dreamed of this day...

Each year since 2009 ( except for 2020 and 2021) I have done an original painting commemorating the athletes, the event and their partnership with Kona. This year’s piece expresses the joy and excitement of this monumental race and it’s return to our island!
